Samsun Will Host “International Falcon Fest” for The Second Time


 

Turkey’s first and only festival of extreme sports Falcon Fest will be organized for the second time by Samsun Metropolitan Municipality and Samsun Tourism Area Infrastructure Service Association (SAMTAB) in Vezirköprü Şahinkaya Canyon.

Canoe, Dragon Boat, Paragliding, Kitesurf, Paramotor, BASE Jump, Slackline, Highline, Rock Climbing, Trekking and Mountain Bicycle races will meet their fans between 4 and 9 August 2018.

This year, International Falcon Fest will be organized for the second time by the Samsun Metropolitan Municipality in Vezirköprü Şahinkaya Canyon between 4 and 9 August.

Almost 200 athletes from 14 countries in 9 sports – including Canoe, Dragon Boat, Paragliding, Kitesurf, Paramotor, BASE Jump, Slackline, Highline, Rock Climbing, Trekking and Mountain Bicycle – will take place at Turkey’s first and only International extreme sports festival.

Furthermore, Turkey’s first long distance triathlon will be run during this festival. This race will include sprint, olympic and long-distance categories. 350 international athletes from 9 different counties are expected to participate in these races.

In the festival area, there will be various activities for the campers besides the sport shows.

It’s possible to reach by car The Şahinkaya Kanyon located in Vezirköprü which is 100 kilometers away from Samsun. The Şahinkaya Canyon is a wonderful place of nature which is 20 kilometers away from Vezirköprü district of Samsun. The Şahinkaya Canyon has a length of 4.5 km, an average water depth of 106 meters and a wall height of approximately 400 meters. It’s a tourism value not only for Samsun but also for Turkey.
